A stone's throw away from the majestic Mosta Dome is the superb Ta' Marija Restaurant, run by a charming family who hasn't just got the recipes in the kitchen right, but has also succeeded in concocting and mastering a unique recipe of running a top-notch eatery. One of the secrets of the feel-good atmosphere generated in the restaurant is that food and entertainment are served with TMS – the Ta' Marija Smile – a smile that greets you at the door, accompanies you throughout the meal and sees you off at the end of a splendid evening.

Once you enter the door and leave the bustling main street in Mosta, you enter a world of genuine Maltese food and an authentic sense of Maltese hospitality, weaved in with local entertainment on select evenings. Every Wednesday and Friday night, Ta' Marija organises a Maltese Extravaganza night. Maltese musicians entertain patrons with roving mandolins and guitars singing traditional songs and encouraging patrons to join in. After dinner, a Maltese folklore show with six dancers in tradtional costurmes start, compared in a charming way by Marija.

Ta' Marija has been awarded Best Maltese Food Restaurant for five consecutive years from 2005 to 2009, including Top Rated Restaurant and Most Lively Restaurant for 2009 by Malta's Definitive(ly) Good Guide to restaurants. Ta' Marija offers an extensive list of traditional Maltese food such as rabbit and fresh fish dishes, home-made ricotta ravioli in a tomato and basil sauce, stuffed aubergines, beef olives with Maltese sausage and so much more. Some original dishes recently introduced in the menu are rabbit liver sautéed in grapes and Sherry served in a puff pastry basket; stuffed squid, fried baby squid and linguine in squid ink; and bread crusted pork fillets, filled with spinach and pine nuts, served in a mustard and fresh pepper sauce … an extensive list for all tastes. The wine list is also worth mentioning – ten of the twelve pages list local wines – and it earned them the Best Maltese Wine List award.
